At Bubbles Pre-School, we have developed a holistic 4 Year Old Kinder Program that is renowned within the community for setting up children beautifully for school. Our combination of structured learning and explorative play, provide children with a learning environment that seamlessly transitions them into school.

Each year, the teachers extend upon the previous year’s learnings and focus on how we can best support each child moving forward. Each child’s focus will be different and they may need special attention with any, or a number of these aspects.
• social and/or emotional connections
• physical and/or gross motor confidence
• improved cognitive and listening skills
• playing co-operatively with other children
• recounting past events and/or completing tasks
• expressing their needs and ideas appropriately
• speaking confidently in a class setting.

These aspects are vital in preparing children for ‘big school’ and our intimate setting and knowledge of each child’s strengths and challenges is what we do best!

The 4 Year Old Program consists of three, six hour sessions per week. We focus on encouraging the children to be confident, independent and inquisitive learners via these core units.

TERM BY TERM SYLLABUS

Term One: RELATIONSHIP BUILDING & IDENTITY

In Term One, we focus on getting to know one another and learning about what makes each member of the class special and unique.

Term Two: THE WORLD AROUND US

Term Two explores the world around us and our place in it. We look at community, cultures and commence ‘Adventure Fridays’ where the children excursion to the local park each week.

Term Three: INQUIRY & INVESTIGATION

Term Three involves diving deeper into our learning and developing complex skills and thought processes such as reflective thinking, reasoning and problem solving as well as investigation through play and exploration.

Term Four: SCHOOL READINESS

With a focus on emotional resilience and self esteem, the children are equipped with confidence to face the challenges of ‘big school’.
