Starting Kindergarten is an important and special milestone in your child’s life. This will be your child’s first step into kindergarten and there is so much to learn! Our 3 Year Old Kinder programs offer children a vast and exciting number of opportunities to become confident, independent and inquisitive learners.

Created and led by Bachelor qualified teachers, our 3 YO Kinder Program is planned around extending children’s interests and strengths. We encourage children to find the answers to questions via ‘trial and error’ and discussion. Our teachers are passionate about creating a learning environment that is stimulating, safe and secure. Children and teachers use story-telling, music, art, craft and role play to discover, discuss and reflect upon learning experiences. Freedom to explore and play in a creative environment offers children the opportunity to confidently grow and learn.

Throughout their day in 3 Year Old Kinder, the children move between the specialist learning spaces with teacher-led activities to encourage problem solving, working together and participation. The class follow various learning topics throughout the year building a vibrant, interactive curriculum. We also value the benefits of play and children are given plenty of time to extend their own interests, test their physical capabilities and learn to work together.

 

TERM BY TERM SYLLABUS

Term One: EMOTIONAL WELLBEING

In Term One we focus on building supportive relationships between the children, teachers and each other.

Term Two: COMMUNITY

Term Two involves looking at our wider community and developing empathy, acceptance and understanding of different cultures and traditions.

 

Term Three: DISPOSITIONS FOR LEARNING

In Term Three, we work on extending and broadening children’s interests and skills to promote their enthusiasm for learning.

Term Four: CONSOLIDATION & REFLECTION

Term Four is the culmination of our Kinder year where we continue to refine some of the skills we have worked on, and proudly look back at how far we have come!
